Question What would a Mesmer Farming Area look like?

Just about every class out there has somewhere that it can farm pretty well in, except Mesmers. Got me to thinking, what kind of monsters would run in an area where other classes just got rocked, but if they brought along X mesmers it would be a comparative cake walk.

Something along the lines of how Tombs made Ranger heavy groups so much more desired then balanced groups. Sure balanced groups can succeed anywhere, but the prevalance of 5 man oro groups, B/P tomb groups, 55neco/monk underworld "groups", and all the solo setups makes me think it would be possible to make an area where Mesmers are the uber ones. So thoughts?

I farm Perdition Rock with my mesmer. Anything with casting-based mobs are good for farming.

Mesmers can two man queen farm if the tank can stay alive.

55 mesmer as already mentioned. Before AoE nerf I used to 55 farm with my mesmer which worked really well. Imo it was better than a 55 mo. You can still do it with SoJ, IW or even spam empathy it sure works and it can be fun but its slower than a monk solo now.

Some mesmers farm outside perdition spamming degens and running away whilst those degens kill their foes, I tried it and dont rate it much but its there to do if anyone ever wanted to.

Kind of a shame x/me is such a popular 2nd for solo/paired farming but me/x cant do as well in comparison.

Yeah, Mez could probably stand a little more innate self-defense. Problem is in PvP they would be like Mursaat vs the uninfused.

A mesmer can solo the queen run, its just that the queen and her escort get to be annoying. If you actually want to make money though ignore the queen and kill the entire map, which now that the gryphons have been removed, is mostly possible.

I like sand drakes, I can take a drake down in about 2-5 seconds. Or maybe sand worms if I spam WW on them and interupt, degen. IW works great too.

Perhaps Mesmers aren't the best, but it's possible to solo much of Grenth's Footprint and all of NKP (with Elemental Titans).

Ya, Me/E can become invicible against Titans, but the farm is far to slow to be worthwhile. I totally forgot about it. Ya... every class can solo GF :P

You can also farm... well Mursaat and Jades.

Wow, your right! Great avatar and enjoyable card game!

Mesmer solo farming will be taken to the limits of the inspiration line. Mesmer team farming will be taken to the limits of the domination line. Illusion utility will appear on both.

The same. It's a matter of keeping the meteor showers from dropping on your head though.

I farm outside of Elona Reach, using only mesmer skills, nothing from my secondary (Illusion 16, Inspiration 11, Fastcasting 9), killing drakes, rockshots and jade scarabs. It's kind of tedious, but that can be said of all farming. I also do some solo 55hp mesmer farming of Sand Elementals, and soon to work in UW.

lots of ice imps.

I solo ice imps no problem, thanks to my mes secondary, so I'd say that they'd be good.

Then again I couldn't do any of my farming without my mes secondary, I've tried. Nothing like Greater Conflagration mixed with Elemental Resistance to be able to withstand lots of damage *pats R/Me*
